Escaping the Smoke!

After spending 11 wonderful days in the Pacific Northwest near Bellingham, WA, we packed up our little home on wheels and headed to our next destination. We were originally supposed to head to Manson, WA to stay on the property of a small Vineyard known as Chival. Unfortunately because of the excessive smoke from fires in that region we were forced to call the same day audible and find somewhere else to go with less smoke. When we originally departed Oostema Farmstead Inn we did not know where this new place would be. While in route, Sheri, being the research expert found us a really nice place just outside of Spokane, WA in the town of Liberty Lake. The only downside was this was about 7 hours worth of driving, instead of the 4 hours we originally intended, not only for this day but for most days in between in hopes to reduce driving fatigue.

Since we arrived around 5 pm, we decided that after getting set up we would enjoy dinner and relax at camp for the remainder of the evening. This is a hidden little gem that neither of us really knew anything about and we enjoyed our brief two-day stent here. The next day after breakfast we decided to head into town for a few items we needed for the trailer. For we found this great brewery, Snow Eater that had great beer and fantastic food. Since we enjoy finding local watering holes we figured why not stop and check it out. It was amazing and we will go back when we are in the area again. Plus they have a really cool logo, but you be the judge for yourself. Click here!

We did not take too many photos while we were here so not much to update there. Below is a link to the campground we stayed at for anyone interested in staying near Spokane, yet far enough away to where it feels remote.
